Japanese Inks

Inks are a very quick-setting, vibrant medium to work with which allows for spontaneity and playfulness in the art.  Because it cures so quickly, it's a challenge to the artist but also creates interesting effects during the managed drying process.

In my ink work I experiment with blurred and sharp lines, colour and composition.  My works on paper play with the idea of macro to micro; from nebulae to cells.  My more recent works on canvas are more landscape focused.
